Kennewick Kenpo Karate implements American and Chinese Kenpo to every class for all ages. Kenpo uses rapid striking and low, powerful kicks and generates power through proper technique, coordination and speed. With our system, you can see your progress through forms, simple-to-advanced movement, and an easy-to-understand Belt system.

Archie Thompson

Mr. Thompson started the journey of his Martial arts in the Art of IKCA Kenpo Karate in 1999 under the instruction of 10th Degree black belt Armando De Loa in the city of Bellflower California. After 3 1/2 years of training and teaching beginners and intermediate students, Mr. Thompson was promoted to the rank of 1st degree Black Belt within the Karate Connection. He would remain with Mr. Deloa until 2007 when he went out and began cross-training in Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiujitsu eventually competing in Mixed Martial Arts.

Sensei Archie Thompson is a diversely skilled practioner and instructor that enthuastically shares his martial arts knowledge with students. His desire to create and expand a family atmosphere, including with other schools, is an all-in approach second to none.

I've known Sensei Archie Thompson for years. We've trained together as colored belts, as black belts, and always as friends. He was my Basics instructor and is responsible for introducing me to the art of Kenpo Karate, having privately trained me for my first 5 lessons. I never looked back and eventually reached my black belt after 5 years of training in 2005.
